System Administrator with a focus on networking (m/f/d)

As an IT system administrator:in – Focus on Network (m/w/d), you are responsible for the network and communication infrastructure as part of our IT service team, ensuring high availability of our systems, as well as continuous development and optimization of existing structures and systems – from LAN and WLAN to SD-WAN to our firewall landscape. You work in a growing IT system landscape with modern technologies and methods as well as with established legacy systems. You plan, configure and optimize our Aruba-based LAN and WLAN infrastructure as well as our SonicWall firewalls and ensure a stable and performant network operation. You'll take our SD-WAN and drive the introduction and expansion of Network Access Control (NAC) and Zero-Trust concepts to continuously develop our network security. You will also introduce your Azure know-how in the network area, design identity protection and MFA concepts, help with the hardening of our Windows server and help to analyze and resolve security-relevant incidents. You create and provide technical documentation, support infrastructure projects, rollouts and migrations and, if necessary, take on the technical and organisational coordination of external service providers.

Successfully completed studies and/or completed IT-based training with corresponding additional qualification as well as at least five years of professional experience in the field of network administration or -engineering with a strong understanding of standardization, wartability and sustainable solutions. Deep knowledge in the area of LAN / WLAN (ideally Aruba), firewall technologies (ideally SonicWall) and SD-WAN. Experience with NAC and Zero Trust concepts as well as EDR/XDR solutions (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender) are of advantage. Good knowledge of Azure Network Services, Identity Protection and MFA as well as hardening Windows Servers. You also bring a structured, solution-oriented and self-responsive working style, target-group-oriented communication strength and pronounced analytical skills.
