Senior Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Own bring-up of new embedded Linux platforms including board initialization, bootloader adaptations and kernel configuration Analysis, creation and adaptation of Device-Tree files as well as integration of new peripheral devices and modifications of existing bonds Development of drivers and kernel components in C for common bus systems (e.g. I2C, SPI, SSI, CAN, UART) and implementation of hardware debugging with JTAG/SWD, logic analyzer, oscilloscope and software debug tools (gdb, strace, perf) Support in building and maintaining build systems (Yocto, Buildroot, CMake) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins) as well as creation of unit tests, implementation of code reviews, static analysis and technical documentation Close coordination and cooperation with hardware developers, product managers and QA to ensure stable and scalable solutions

Complete study of electrical engineering, computer science, communication technology or a comparable degree course and at least three years of professional experience in the embedded Linux environment Very good knowledge of C/C++ with focus on kernel development as well as sound knowledge about the Linux kernel and the Device-Tree syntax Practical experience in debugging bus systems (e.g. I2C, SPI, SSI, CAN, UART) and safe handling of debug tools such as JTAG/SWD, Logic Analyzer, oscilloscope, gdb and perf Experience with build systems such as the Yocto Project, Buildroot or comparable systems as well as good English knowledge in word and writing Embossed team capacity, communication and documentation strength, independent working and experience with agile development methods (Scrum/Kanban)
