For our Procurement department we are looking for you as soon as possible (Senior) Purchaser* IT Global Technology @ Berenberg In an era where digitalization and modern IT infrastructure revolutionize banking, we design a technology-based bank where you work closely with our business units as an IT professional. Our technology teams offer you an environment that presents you with exciting challenges – whether through support and further development of legacy systems or the introduction of modern technologies such as AI, machine learning and highly automated commercial applications. Our IT department with about 300 employees mostly works agilely according to a Scrumban approach and covers areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, operations, process and governance, software development and architecture. We are particularly proud to develop almost all our Inhouse applications, which gives us unique flexibility and innovative strength. Our Tech Stack includes modern technologies such as Java, Kotlin, TypeScript and Python, CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes as well as Azure Cloud, Azure SQL Database and Oracle database with PL/SQL.

Active consulting of the departments or project teams on all procurement topics Support for demand analysis, planning and procurement in the environment of IT and Professional Services Management of contract negotiations with suppliers incl. Procurement Control and further development of supplier relations Optimization of procurement processes Support for make-or-buy decisions

Successfully completed studies with a focus on economics or comparable qualifications Multiannual relevant professional experience in purchasing, ideally with IT reference Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Embossed service orientation and self-initiative High communicative competence
