Team Leader Quantitative Analysis (m/f/d)

You have a degree in a scientific or mathematical study ideally with doctoral studies and several years of relevant professional experience as a quantitative analyst in energy trading. You have a well-founded knowledge of the time series analysis and the associated statistical methods. The handling of large amounts of data and suitable analysis tools is everyday for you. You are familiar with the methods of linear and stochastic optimization and have achieved proven results in this field. You are experienced in dealing with mathematically oriented higher programming languages (Python Matlab, R or the like), databases (SQL) and MS Office products. You have several years of experience in energy trading, direct marketing and optimising controllable power plants or batteries. You have experience in managing highly specialised development teams. Their working style is characterized by precision and pragmatism. You will regularly be able to answer complex questions structured and systematically together with your team. Do not lose sight of your goal and keep agreed schedules. You take responsibility for the evaluation models and tools you have developed. You have a lot of experience in managing projects and are familiar with agile methods. You deal with conflicts in a sovereign way and are at any time in a position to make constructive contributions to solutions and to question their own views. It is self-evident to present work content and results in oral and written form at the required technical depth. Continuous professional and personal training is of course for you. You have very good German and English skills

You lead the team “Quantitative Analysis” at the Leipzig site, consisting of mathematicians, physicists, meteorologists and computer scientists, professionally and disciplinaryly You are responsible for modeling, evaluation and optimization tasks in the management of physical wind, solar and battery storage units Your tasks include the development of analytical solutions for control energy, spot and time markets You translate professional requirements from sales, trade and risk management into quantitative methods and models You process complex analytical questions and are responsible for the presentation and comprehensible communication of the analysis results to internal stakeholders You work closely with adjacent departments and make a significant contribution to corporate success
