The City of Ulm is looking for several employees as a social education/social worker for mobile youth work at 01.06.2026, using the emergency sleeping place for young adults (m/w/d) Full/parttime, unlimited There are places available in full and parttime. Please enter the desired amount of employment in your application. Working hours are based on the needs of the target group and are predominantly in the afternoon and evening hours. The places are assigned to the social areas Böfingen and Eselsberg. Concrete use takes place taking into account the scope of employment and the need in the social areas. Mobile youth work is an independent field of work of youth social work according to § 13 SGB VIII. It is aimed at socially disadvantaged and individually impaired young people as well as young adults in particularly burdensome situations, especially in housinglessness. The focus of activity is on the field of mobile youth work. In addition, the site includes regular use in the shelter for homeless young adults aged 18 to 27 years. The planned service hours in the emergency sleeping area are between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Payment is made by S12 TVöD-SuE.

Your tasks: Mobile youth work looking for contact in public space and informal meeting places Consultation, monitoring and crisis intervention in the context of individual case aid Work with cliques and groups as well as development of low-swelling offers and projects mediation and support for further assistance (e.g. housing, training, work, psychosocial support) Cooperation and network work in the social area (e.g. open child and youth work, schools, counselling centres, job center, homeless help, police, ordering service) Participation in socio-spatial analysis, concept development and documentation Use in the emergency sleeping area regular service (at least once a week) in the emergency sleeping place for young homeless adults Recording, initial consultation and crisis intervention Stabilisation of young people in acute emergencies Support in the clarification of perspectives (accommodation, protection of existence, health and psychosocial care) close cooperation with mobile youth work and the further aid systems

Your profile: completed studies (Bachelor) of social work, social education or a comparable qualification Experience or interest in looking and life-world-oriented work with young people in burdensome situations Willingness to work with young housingless people and in crisis situations Communication strength, conflictability and safe occurrence in public space Ability to work independently and structured Team skills and joy in connected work in the social area
