Head of Business Solutions

We are currently creating the technological and organizational basis for the next generation of our digital products and services. For this we establish a new corporate platform based on domain driven design, event driven architecture and modern platform concepts. As a lead business solution, you take a key role in this transformation. You are responsible for the strategic development of our business solution portfolio, guide our business solution managers professionally and shape BG's digital future together with business, enterprise architecture and platform teams. You are responsible for the strategic management and the continuous development of our business solution portfolio along the corporate strategy You guide and coach our Business Solution Manager professionally and establish a common understanding of governance, prioritization, architectural principles and operational models You create a modern business solution organization and develop appropriate structures, processes and standards for a growing portfolio You develop roadmaps and prioritize cross-departmental initiatives taking into account business value, risks and corporate goals Together with Enterprise Architecture and departments, you shape the transformation from a classic application landscape to a domain-oriented solution landscape based on Domain Driven Design You make sure that Business Solutions can optimally support the company's capabilities and business processes and are continuously evolving. You plan and tax budgets, resources and performance indicators at portfolio level and create transparency about costs, benefits and risks You work closely with product, process, domain and architecture managers and identify digitization potentials You ensure compliance with information security, data protection, compliance and regulatory requirements across the entire portfolio You control strategic technology partners and manufacturers and support critical decisions and escalations As a central IT-side contact for Business Solutions, you advise managers and stakeholders on strategic issues relating to digital value creation and the further development of our corporate capabilities

Successfully completed studies of (economic) informatics, business management with IT focus or a comparable qualification Multiannual experience in the responsibility of complex business applications, platforms or digital solution landscapes Experience in portfolio and demand management as well as the prioritization of strategic IT and digitization projects Understanding modern architectural approaches such as Domain Driven Design, API-first, Cloud-native Architectures and Integration Platforms Experience in the professional leadership of employees or experts: both in the development of powerful teams Extensive understanding of business processes, digital value creation and the connection of business and IT strategies Sovereign appearance at management level as well as pronounced communication, moderation and conflict resolution competence Strategic thinking, high sense of responsibility and the ability to make informed decisions even in complex situations Experience in building or developing digital platforms and domain-oriented organisations is desirable Joy in building new structures and actively shaping
