Research Assistant (m/w/d) for the topic ''Optimisation of Large Heat Pumps''
INSTITUTE FOR ENERGY ENERGY AND RATIONAL ENERGY APPLICATION The Institute for Energy Economics and Rational Energy Application (IER) actively supports the sustainable energy system of the future and works interdisciplinary between engineering and natural sciences as well as economic and social sciences. For the processing of scientific and applied projects, we are looking at an M.Sc. of the engineering sciences in the fields of energy and process engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental protection technology or with a comparable scientific focus as Senior Consultant (m/w/d) ‘Optimisation of large heat pumps’ Reference number: SAM 01-25 Large heat pumps (GWP) are a key technology in the transformation of heat applications to climate neutrality. Depending on the design, GWPs can also provide district heating and process heat with up to 250°C for industrial processes. In the course of the IER's research in the field of optimization of large-scale heat pumps and their system integration, we are looking for a researcher*in (m/w/d) for our team with the possibility of promotion. The focus is on the energy-economic analysis of the options for system design, integration and dynamics of large heat pumps within the framework of national and international research projects. Specifically, it is about advantages and disadvantages resulting from high load change speeds of large heat pumps, different options of system design or integration, or the interactions with other heat producers from an ecological and economic point of view. To what extent a standardization/standardization of industrial high-temperature heat pumps can be carried out as a function of the application is also a research question. The place is limited to 2 years and is governed by the Science-Time Contract Act (WissZeitVg). The IER seeks to extend the contract. The adjustment is made in the compensation group TV-L E13 (BW).
