Technical Management / Head of Department in System Administration (m/f/d)

Technical management/sectoral management including project planning and management in the field of system administration, in particular: supervised staff, including quality assurance conceptual and strategic further development of the system administration of the cross-site IT-Forensic networks taking into account the technical requirements and IT-security/resilence requirements Consultation of internal and external bodies, including management and other decision-makers

Planning, coordination and (further)development of system administration, in particular:improving, analyzing and evaluating existing police and/or technical requirements Determination of the hardware and software architecture/infrastructure for components to be realized and integration into the technical and technical overall architecture of existing hardware/software solutions

Planning, coordination and implementation of IT security /resilience requirements, in particular:the creation and implementation of IT security policies and IT security concepts, as well as responsible investigation of safety-related incidents, the development of countermeasures and the implementation of awareness and training measures Supporting the technical teams of IT-Forensics in matters of technical feasibility IT-security requirements within the development and operation

The willingness to design flexible working hours is assumed for the following reasons: Service travel, in the context of the perception of tasks, in particular at the locations of the BKA in Berlin and Meckenheim occasional: 2 – 6 times a year Length of missions: 2 – 3 days

Multi-working by arranged services outside regular working hours Ready-to-use readiness/willingness to consult rare: 1–2 times a year for 2 – 3 days

Specific requirements related to operational and special situations These framework conditions are dynamic. Changes related to the perception of tasks may require adjustments or shifts.

Completed academic degree (university degree, magistrate or master) of computer science or a comparable completed academic degree from the MINT area with IT share the presence of a driving licence of class B or 3

On top You have knowledge in the field of network and Internet technologies, computer networks and their components (Windows domains, Active Directory, Storage, Routing/Switching, Virtualization, Data Storage & Backup), Virtualization of servers, Administration of Windows and Linux operating systems, program-based further development of IT-forensic analysis software You have knowledge of storage management and structures of complex systems You have programming skills (e.g. C/C++, Shell Scripting, Python) and experience on system-related programming and software reverse engineering You have knowledge and experience in data protection, IT security/information security and resilience You have a strong knowledge and experience in the field of personnel / employee management You have knowledge of English, proof of the common European reference framework for language (level B2) is desirable Good cooperation and team-oriented action are of course for you. You have a very good oral and written expression, have good cognitive and organizational skills, are resilient and independent and flexible in the task.
