The operating technology business unit is responsible for all technical tasks necessary for the operation of our rail vehicles, including travel, signaling, driving power supply and vehicles. The aim is to secure the mobility in Frankfurt, as well as the sustainability of the VGF and the ÖPNV with team spirit, modern technology and innovative strength. The area includes four areas of expertise: planning, maintenance and optimization of the route, control and safety technology, communication technology, power supply and energy systems and the area of urban railway workshops for the procurement, maintenance and modernization of rail vehicles.
