Number: MER0003XBI The purchasing organization is responsible for all procurement in the Mercedes-Benz Group. Our department is responsible for purchasing all transport logistics services.
We are currently looking for a dedicated intern to support our purchasing department.
The internship includes the following tasks: Participation in the complete procurement process for tenders for European transport and logistics services including time monitoring, documentation, production of purchasing documents and evaluations
Participation in the visibility and analysis of the procurement market for identifying suitable transport service providers
Participation in the optimization and further development of procurement processes for transport logistics services as part of the production supply of all German works
Cooperation in the preparation of presentations and participation in negotiations or Meetings with transport service providers
Creation and development of protocols, presentations, training documents and our own helpful tools in the shopping area
Communication and coordination with other stakeholders of logistics purchasing such as logistics planning and start-up management etc.
Working with the research, analysis and presentation of research findings on the further development of political and economic conditions, e.g. in the fields: transport policy, social legislation, diesel price development, cargo space shortage, market trends and developments
Organisational support of the department
The activity can start from March/April 2026.
Course in Economics or Business Administration with a logistical focus, ideally with specializations in transport logistics, procurement, supply chain management, transport/transport (sea and air freight) or a comparable course of study
Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing
Secure handling of MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
