Senior IT-Architect Network Automation WAN Access (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. Senior IT-Architect Network Automation (m/w/d) from now on and in full time in Berlin, Munich, Nuremberg or Rheinbach. We ensure the communication between our customers and ourselves. We are an important and large area of expertise within the BWI and are structured in services (LAN/WLAN, WAN, Security and RAS). In our PoD2 Network department we have full responsibility for how these services are designed and developed. Strategically important decisions for the NETWORK are elaborated here. Here we choose hard and software, develop and test designs, develop improvements of the existing network and continue to build up the challenges of tomorrow with innovative technologies.

Development of technical design specifications and creation of technical specifications (e.g. design specification and safety concept) Responsibility for the creation and further development of processes, best practices and guidelines in the field of WAN automation Continuous improvement of WAN services in technical and financial terms, taking into account technological trends Technical architectural consulting of our customers and the development of cross-service solutions proposals in cooperation with the Service Management Participation in tenders and awards by drawing up technical specifications Support and advice of the team as part of the automation and training of employees in terms of design and operating activities to be performed

Completed studies or comparable training in the IT environment About 5 years of relevant professional experience as IT-Architect in the automation environment and very good knowledge of network technologies, topologies and services Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g. Python, Pearl or Ansible) as well as products from Cisco, Nokia or Secunet Experiences in the areas of virtualization (e.g. proxmox) and creation of design specifications and technical concepts Empathy, good communication and team skills, an analytical mindset, creativity and an independent, structured and targeted way of working German language skills in word and writing
