Digital Transformation Management is responsible for the management and further development of digitalization topics within the SMT (ZEISS semiconductor division). It drives the digital transformation to enable innovation and efficiency improvements, and reports directly to the SMT DTO.

Your tasks as GenAI Architect: Strategic anchoring of GenAI technologies: Building and establishing central, technologically highly sophisticated systems and components with a high degree of innovation in the organization.

Strategic anchoring of GenAI technologies: Conception and further development of a scalable, modular architecture for new and existing GenAI applications, including selection of suitable components, definition of interfaces and ensuring integration, governance and wartability in the overall system.

Use synergies: Bundling existing GenAI solutions to promote business-wide exchange, raise common potential and learn from each other.

Enablement & Consulting: Support and advice from employees in the development of new GenAI solutions – from idea finding to implementation.

Community Building: Building, maintaining and moderating an internal GenAI community for knowledge transfer and promoting an open innovation dialogue.

Technical development & integration: Development and integration of new GenAI solutions – both in the cloud and on-premise – always taking into account company-specific IP requirements

Education: University degree in an appropriate natural science (e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics) or an engineering science (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering) or comparable discipline

Professional experience: At least 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the development and implementation of AI architectures, with a clear focus on Generative AI

Detectable expertise in the design and implementation of complex GenAI solutions, ideally both in the cloud and on premise

Knowledge in handling IP-specific requirements, data protection and security policies related to AI technologies

Wide expertise in relevant disciplines such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Image Generation and Knowledge Graphs

Experience with modeling and simulation methods and with the optimization of AI models

Project management experience in managing multidisciplinary teams

Other knowledge Technological skills: Deep knowledge of Python and relevant AI frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain)

Experience in building and operating GenAI platforms and ecosystems

Comprehensive expertise in cloud architectures and hybrid infrastructure models

Personal skills: Very good communication skills in German and English (safe for negotiation)

High social competence and pronounced ability to lateral guidance

Ability to prepare complex technical concepts for decision-makers and stakeholders

A recognised model is provided by leadership, sense of responsibility and clear delegation
