Development and implementation of the data protection strategy for the company, both at national and international level Monitoring compliance with data protection policies (especially GDPR, BDSG and other relevant international regulations) Advising departments in all data protection issues Implementation of data protection audits and risk analyses to assess compliance Training of employees on data protection issues and ensuring awareness of data protection requirements Monitoring and adaptation of data protection processes to changing legal frameworks Cooperation with internal teams (e.g. IT, Marketing, HR) and Group companies (e-commerce, marketplace, retail media) to identify and minimize data protection risks in projects at an early stage Development and implementation of training and support for internal areas Representation of the company to supervisory authorities and data protection procedures Ensuring the processing of personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws Management of data protection incidents and data breaches, including reporting and escalation

Completed studies in the field of law, economics or a comparable discipline Outstanding leadership experience; ideally experience in managing executives Multiannual professional experience in data protection management (ideally in retail or a related sector) Knowledge of the data protection regulations, in particular the GDPR and other relevant international guidelines Experience in the management of data protection incidents and cooperation with supervisory authorities Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex data protection issues understandably Embossed solution orientation and good presentation skills Good communication skills and enforcement strength in dealing with different stakeholders German and English knowledge in word and writing
