In Hamburg Harburg and Süderelbe we offer tailor-made school guidance for children and young people with special needs or restrictions. Some children simply need a little more support, more structure, more support and more safety during school life. We support them in successfully mastering their school challenges. Our school attendants are there for these children and young people — individually, empathically and reliably.

The children and adolescents we accompany have different funding needs. These include:

Your tasks:

• You accompany one or more children with participation needs through the school day
• You give structure, orientation and emotional security – individually adapted to the respective situation
• You support understanding tasks and organizing everyday school life
• You help practically if necessary: for example when eating, mobility, in nursing activities
• You promote social participation – through clear support, communication support and the strengths of social skills
• You work with teachers, parents and our specialist team – reliable, cooperative and in the sense of the child
• Depending on the school you work in the pool model: in the team with other school attendants for several children

Your profile:

• You are studying in the field of pedagogy or psychology and looking for an educational side job with meaning
• Or you have already gained first experience in the social field (e.g. in the FSJ/BFD, child and youth assistance, integration aid, care) and want to continue working in this field
• Or you come from a different profession, want to reorientate yourself and help children in everyday life
• Or you're looking for a professional activity, e.g. during a qualification, training or training in the social field
• You have sensitivity, clarity and resilience
• You work independently and responsibly, are team-ready and bring good knowledge of German
• You stand with your attitude for participation, diversity and respect – and you want to strengthen being together with us
