The Department of Internal Medicine – Cardiology, Diabetology and Conservative Intensive Medicine has 70 beds, including 14 intensive beds. More than 4,000 patients are treated annually with acute and chronic internalist illnesses. The range of services includes all invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic methods. The clinic ensures a 24-hour readiness to supply acute coronary syndromes and is certified as a diabetes center by the German Diabetes Society. Together with other departments, the clinic also represents the medical occupation of the emergency medical service vehicle of the Berlin fire department in Schöneberg.
