The Facility Management (FM) department, with about 100 employees, provides a wide range of services to the buildings with their extensive technical infrastructures for a modern research and teaching establishment on a useful area of approx. 120,000 m2 ready. The University of Konstanz operates a variety of technical facilities, which are modified by refurbishment and rebuilding measures and are also continually expanded by new construction measures. In this responsible position you take over the technical and personnel management of the property with approx. 45 colleagues and actively contribute to the development of building and operating technology. Together with your team, you will ensure the safe, economical and sustainable operation of the technical building equipment and thus make a significant contribution to the university's operational capability.

Technical and personnel management of the field of building and operating technology with responsibility for the management, motivation and further development of employees as well as the control of personnel use Ensuring safe, economic, sustainable and legally compliant operation of technical building equipment Responsibility for operation, maintenance, maintenance and continuous optimization of building equipment (heating, ventilation, climate, sanitary, cold, electrical engineering, building automation and other technical installations) Perception of operator responsibility and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and technical regulations Development and implementation of maintenance, operational and modernisation strategies taking into account life cycle and economic aspects Control and support of technical refurbishment, reconstruction and investment measures in cooperation with internal and external project participants Participation in the strategic development of the University's technical infrastructure Initiating and implementing measures to increase energy efficiency and achieve the sustainability and climate protection goals of the University Development of digitalization in technical building operations, in particular in the use of CAFM systems, building control technology and digital operations and maintenance processes Control of external service companies and quality assurance of the commissioned services Responsibility for budget planning, budget management and economic resource use in the field Confidential cooperation with the fields of construction and technology, building service, occupational safety and the scientific institutions and central service institutions of the University and fortune and construction of Baden-Württemberg, Office Konstanz Self-service maintenance and testing of special equipment Participation in readiness

Successfully completed university studies (Bachelor, Diploma (FH) or Master) of Supply Technology, Technical Building Equipment, Building Technology, Energy and Building Technology, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline Multiannual professional experience in the operation of complex technical buildings Ideally multi-year leadership experience Knowledge of technical building equipment and relevant laws, regulations and technical regulations (including DIN, VDI and DGUV regulations) Knowledge of operator responsibility and technical and infrastructure building management Experience in the planning, procurement, control and acceptance of technical services and in the handling of external engineering and technical planning offices Impressed leadership, communication and organisational skills and a cooperative leadership style High level of sense of responsibility, joy of decision and economic thinking Safe occurrence, negotiation skills and a solution-oriented and structured manner Good knowledge of popular MS Office applications; ideally experience with CAFM systems and building control technology Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing
