The team Digitization in the Global Engineering, Customized Solutions unit develops digitization topics around BASF 4.0. These include the construction, development and global support of digital twins, the integration of plant data into the cloud, the use of AI-based models for plant control, augmented reality development, as well as the required Operational Technology/Production IT in accordance with corresponding Automation Security. They strengthen our team in the field of IT and the OT infrastructure. Based on the virtualization environments, you are responsible for the planning and development and support of production-related IT systems and networks at BASF locations in Germany and abroad. In addition, you are responsible for providing and operating environments for microservice-based applications as well as container management with Kubernetes. With your professional know-how, you are responsible for the management of system access, the implementation of the corresponding IT security and the administration of VM-Ware Hosts, Windows and Linux systems. You have everything in mind: you are responsible for managing external service providers, as well as the cost, appointment and quality control. Optimization is made big with us: They optimize technical weaknesses and workflows and document all relevant changes. In addition, you work with interdisciplinary global project teams, different production units and the maintenance unit of different locations.
