The ITO/CP – Shopfloor Data Platform and Products team is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of forward-looking data-based solutions for the global production plants of Mercedes-Benz AG. In this international and dynamic environment, we develop innovative IT products and platforms that support our customers in the plants and other business locations. Your tasks and challenges: Integration & Support: Gain deep insights into various IT applications in the productive environment of the areas of raw construction, surface, e-ATS and assembly. You actively support the support and development of application components, e.g. by monitoring with Check Mk or AppDynamics, programming in Java, creating Excel macros and SQL statements, as well as maintaining MQ interfaces Development & Programming: Working in programming and development, for example with Java, JSON and DB2 database models Documentation & Training: Creation and extension of user documentation, release notes and training documents Requirements management: recording, analysis and evaluation of complex user requirements, in particular in the context of parts traceability and quality management Test management: Conception, planning, implementation and documentation of test scenarios Communication & Marketing: Working to create in-house marketing materials and websites (e.g. SharePoint, GitHub Pages, News Blogs) to increase the visibility of our applications Working with the POC: “Crystal Report” to “Databricks” The activity can begin from March 2026.

Studies: You are immatriculated in a course of studies of (economic) informatics, software engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, vehicle engineering and motor engineering or a comparable technical discipline Language knowledge: German language skills (min. B2) and good English skills are advantageous Technical knowledge: First experiences with programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript) are desirable. Knowledge of web applications, DB2 systems, git, MQ administration, databricks as well as in request and test management are a plus Working methods: You are characterized by high operational readiness, self-motivation, independent and analytical work Team skills: You are a team player, enthusiastic and are interested in in interdisciplinary, application-oriented work in the production environment Project management: First experience in project management (e.g. with Excel, PowerPoint) in an international context are advantageous What we offer you: At Mercedes-Benz you can expect an exciting and diverse student activity in a highly motivated team.
