GIS Consultant & Solution Engineer (m/f/d)

As a GIS Consultant & Solution Engineer (m/w/d), you work at the interface between technology, data and customer projects. You develop innovative GIS and data solutions, advise our customers on complex requirements and accompany exciting projects from idea to successful implementation. Whether CAIGOS, QGIS, databases, automation, cloud technologies or AI – you can introduce your technical skills, shape new technologies and actively drive the future of modern GeoIT solutions together with a motivated team.

Active expansion of sales in the business field Geo-IT / GIS (in particular CAIGOS), sales and support Advising customers (communities, suppliers:inside, infrastructure managers:inside) on GIS and data solutions in the context of infrastructure projects and implementing these projects Analysis of customer requirements and development of suitable solutions Implementation and support of GIS projects (including CAIGOS and QGIS) Support and training for users:inside GIS development Selection and use of suitable tools and programming languages as well as research and evaluation of new technologies in the field of geodata, cloud computing and AI and existing open source solutions

Education & Experience Complete studies or training in the field of surveying, geoinformatics, computer science, environmental/ingenieurs, etc. Professional experience with GIS systems (ideally CAIOS; as well as QGIS or the like) Expertise Knowledge of geodata management, data models and databases (e.g. PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MS.SQL, Oracle) Experience in the processing, analysis and visualization of geodata Expert knowledge of GIS development/automatization (e.g. Python, QGIS Plugins, Scripting) Extensive knowledge in building geodata structures and geodatabases Knowledge of the design and programming of databases Very good knowledge of programming in Python, more desirable Personal conditions Enthusiasm and communication skills in the customer:internal contact Analytical thinking Structured, independent working and team skills Language skills and further information very good German knowledge (C1 or mother tongue) English knowledge of advantage Driving licence Class B The above knowledge and experience reflect the optimum.
