Number: MER0003XZ0 The Purchasing and Strategy department of Mercedes-Benz AG is responsible for the worldwide supplier purchase for production materials. We, the contract management team, are also located here and advise the specialist purchase on legal issues and take an advisory role here. Together with operational purchasing, the purchase contracts for production materials are negotiated with suppliers, always taking into account commercial interests. The aim is to secure the contractual basis between the suppliers and the Mercedes-Benz AG via series delivery to the spare parts supply. In addition, we support various projects and task forces. The exchange and close cooperation with various experts from the Group's Legal Division (patent, cartel, compliance, etc.) form the interface for operational purchasing. These challenges include: Negotiating legal issues with suppliers

Representation of the legal interests of operational purchasing

Processing of legal questions

Creation of project documents and presentations

Designing and evaluating our legal IT systems and databases (e.g. contract monitoring)

Review and co-design of the General Terms and Conditions

Maintenance and documentation of ongoing legal negotiations

Support in legal and operational working groups and projects

Coordination with various adjacent specialist areas (development, quality, regression, logistics etc.)

The activity can begin from March 2026. The activity is full-time. The internship is designed for a duration of at least 6 months.

Studies in the field of law, economic law or business administration with a legal focus or comparable courses

German and English knowledge in word and writing

Secure handling of MS Office (in particular Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote)

Embossed communication skills and analytical thinking skills

Quick conception and independent work

Enforcement and a high level of commitment and team capacity
