The Q15 “Strategic Demand Planning for Real Estate with Public Use, Real Estate Economics and Transport, Education Building Bremen” Unit at the Senator for Finance is still in the foundation phase. The tasks of the unit include, inter alia, the development of real estate strategies, concepts and portfolio analyses to cover the area needs of public use of schools and daycare centres, police buildings and offices. The real estate portfolio is versatile and the new unit commissions location analyses, inventory recordings and master plans at the municipal real estate Bremen (IB). Together with Immobilien Bremen and the users of public buildings, the path to efficient and sustainable real estate management is to be designed. The designated body shall include the following tasks: development of overarching strategies to optimize the real estate stock in special assets real estate and technology (SVIT) including strategic purchasing, rental and marketing strategies and financial planning; technical coordination of complex site analyses as well as testing of land and buildings for the economic and structural feasibility of public use; examining and implementing projects in public-private partnership (PP projects) and developing innovative project concepts for public needs; Creation and communication of presentations and reports/documents, consultation of cooperation partners and cooperation in and, where appropriate, management of working groups and bodies.
