Congregational Educator / Deacon for Child and Youth Work (m/w/d) Full-time, unlimited

We are a community where a lot is moving. We try new ways to be a church that appeals to people in their lives. We are open to new ideas, taste a lot, discard some and look forward to what grows. We also want to reach people who are not yet in the church. Our aim is to strengthen faith and community. We are a community that has been merged for almost two years and look forward to the new possibilities that have been created by the merger. In many areas there are very dedicated volunteer teams. As the main official, there are currently a musician, a coaster/housemaster, two parish secretary and a pastor (100%), two pastors (each 50%) at the start – and the new employee we are looking for. As a community, we focus on child and youth work and work well with the surrounding schools and kitas. At the same time, we strive for cooperation with neighbouring parishes. The Ev. – Luth. Segensgemeinde Harburg is looking for a (m/w/d), full-time, unlimited.

You are responsible for the area of child and youth work, as well as the accompaniment, promotion and strengthening of volunteers especially in your area. Currently, this area includes e.g. Confirmation and Youth Free Times Management and support of the numerous preparatory teams in the various areas of youth work the “FireAbend Jugendgottesdienst” (once a month) the “moki Children’s Church” (once a month) the childrenBibelWeek and children's free time the family divine services on Christmas and the crib game. From all this, some can develop – depending on your ideas.
