Database Administrator (m/f/d)

The division 24.2 “IT-operation / Middleware” as one of five organizational units in the department 24 “IT-operation” essentially deals with the operation of central IT solutions of the police NRW. The main focus is on the database management system (DMS) and the following activities shape your new workplace: Administration, support and further development of the administrative database systems Ensuring stable, secure and economic operation of the databases Implementation of backup, recovery and archiving processes Monitoring system performance and analysis and troubleshooting Implementation of IT security and data protection requirements (including GDPR) Support for specialist procedures and internal IT departments Documentation of systems, processes and changes Monitoring and tuning of composite systems Creation, maintenance and updating of concepts and development support Consultation and support for projects, procedures and authorities

You have a successfully completed (specialized) university degree (Bachelor or corresponding university degree) in the field of computer science or a comparable degree course and at least three years of relevant professional experience or You have a successfully completed vocational training plus a completed further training for the state-tested technician / the state-tested technician (w/m/d) of the field of news technology / informatics or a comparable subject or a comparable relevant advancement and at least three years of relevant professional experience in the field of technical operations or You have successfully completed vocational training in the field of information technology or in a comparable field and at least six years of relevant professional experience The procedures are supported in the context of a 24/7 operation.
