A prerequisite for the recruitment is a completed relevant higher education (master, bachelor or corresponding university degree) preferably in an MINT course. We wish to have several years of professional experience in Linux system administration, ideally in the field of data backup (archiving, backup). You have worked with commercial backup solutions (e.g. Bacula Enterprise Edition, Veeam, Commvault), are familiar with the facets of data backup and also have experience in the design and safe operation of complex IT infrastructure systems. deeper knowledge of storage technologies (SAN-Storages; Fibre Channel; RAID; distributed file systems), file systems and data processing processes in operating systems belong to your repertoire as well as the creation and maintenance of administration scripts in Python, Perl and Bash. Problems go coordinated and structured and develop balanced solutions. The application-specific use of databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) is familiar to you. Dealing with new technologies is a targeted and self-driven approach. Experiences of professional band stores (LTO tapes; band robots) are desirable.
