When one asks you one day where you were when the energy transition was, you want to say: “mittendrin”? Then this is your place: As a system operator in operational planning, you will ensure, within the framework of the timetable management, that messages concerning input and output are received correctly into the 50Hertz network and fed into our systems. Due to the complexity of the energy market, a variety of errors can arise, which you quickly resolve in an international context, in coordination with many internal and external partners. With your ability to detect errors in detail, to penetrate complex facts quickly, to find suitable solutions and then implement them, you make a big contribution to integrating renewable energies every day! In addition, you are responsible for determining the trading capacities through our power lines, with which we enable European electricity trading. The predictive evaluation of the transmission network as part of the Short Term Adequacy Forecast (STA) is another task. In addition to operational work, you are also responsible in separate project layers as a process specialist*in to continuously improve our systems and processes and introduce new processes. High commitment, strong organizational skills and team-oriented work are our key to success! Work in the operational system management is carried out in shift operation on the basis of a framework service plan. The more time-fixed and compressed work offers many advantages in recreational design and financial spaces, which are rare in the normal everyday office.
