As Media Relation Manager (m/w/d) with focus on cyber security and data protection compliant / sovereign communication You are active in external communication around our topics Cybersecurity (XM Cyber) and data protection-compliant communication. You translate complex technology topics into convincing narratives and position Black Digits as opinion leaders in these areas. You strengthen our position as a trusted partner for digital sovereignty and security.

Your tasks

• Strategy & implementation: You develop and implement customized PR strategies for our cyber security offerings and initiatives in the field of sovereign communication.
• Media Relations: You build sustainable relationships with the specialist, economic and daily press and actively engage them with a clear focus on cyber security and sovereign communication. Your existing network is a decisive advantage here.
• Content Creation: You'll start high-quality press releases, specialist articles, O-Töne and other communication materials. Your distinctive writing skills are essential.
• Interview management: You organize and conduct interviews with our technology expert:inside and management.
• Inquiry Management: You process proactive media requests and inquiries from internal stakeholders.
• Crisis Communication: You play an active role in crisis communication, especially in the areas of cloud and AI.
• Storytelling: You master the sovereign handling of our corporate narratives and develop new, convincing storytelling approaches.
• Media analysis: You continuously analyze the media landscape in the field of cyber security and data protection to detect trends and opportunities at an early stage.

Your profile

• Education: You have a completed study in communication, journalism, law with communication or a comparable qualification.
• Professional experience: You bring multi-year relevant professional experience in PR or corporate communication, ideally with expertise in cyber security, IT security or data protection.
• Network: You have demonstrable contacts and a resilient network of specialist journalists in the field of cyber security and sovereign communication at national level. International contacts are a plus.
• Communication strength: You are characterized by excellent written and oral communication skills, with a pronounced writing competence in German and fluent English.
• Interview experience: You have experience in carrying out interviews and in the confident handling of demanding enquiries.
• Resilience: You are stress resistant and keep a cool head under pressure.
• Stakeholder Management: You have strong skills in internal stakeholder management and in cooperation with law enforcement.
• Legal understanding: You have a deep understanding of data protection framework conditions (e.g. GDPR) and their communication.
