Shaped with us the future of logistics — Team Direct Load

At Hellmann we develop our Transport Management System HeRo for Direct Transport — a self-developed TMS that is already productive in Germany and is now to be rolled out internationally. For this we are looking for an experienced full-stack developer who builds modern UIs and works safely in the backend with event-driven architectures.

You work in a cross-functional product team with product owners, UX designers and other developers. Self-organization is not a flea with us — you take responsibility from conception to operation. You build it, you run it. You develop frontend and backend of our Direct Load TMS — from Angular-UI to the services behind it You build event-driven backend services with Java/Kotlin, Kafka, Event Sourcing and CQRS

For an excellent user experience in close cooperation with UX design

You actively promote the internationalisation of our system

You work closely with logistics experts to find the right solutions

You shape the architecture over the entire stack and question existing approaches constructively

You are responsible for your services in operation with (Observability, Troubleshooting, Performance)

You promote code quality through reviews, pair programming and the establishment of meaningful standards

Our tech stack Frontend: Angular, Angular Material, TypeScript Backend: Java, Kotlin, Kafka (Event Streaming), Event Sourcing, CQRS Databases: MongoDB / DocumentDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch Platform: AWS, Kubernetes Observability: Prometheus, Grafana

Forced required: Multiannual, well-founded experience in full-stack development — both frontend (Angular, TypeScript) and backend (Java or Kotlin)

Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Event Sourcing, CQRS) or the detectable willingness to work on you quickly

Feeling for good UX and the ability to work with designers at eye level

Our own initiative and the willingness to take responsibility — we are looking for someone who really wants to take part

Interest in logistics domains and desire to penetrate technical relationships

German language skills

Advantage:

Experience with Angular Material or other Component Libraries

Solid understanding of reactive programming (RxJS)

Knowledge of cloud-native development (AWS, Kubernetes)

Experience with testing strategies across the entire stack (Unit, Integration, E2E)

Experience with international rollouts or multi-tenant architectures

AI tools used throughout the team within the software development process
