IT Team Leader Communication and Processes (''Vortex'') (m/f/d)

As a team leader for Vortex, you take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of a team responsible for the development and operation of several key solutions for Ecclesia. In particular:

our self-developed platform eFile since 2014, a central system for customer records, document management and communication, which significantly shapes the working day of our colleagues in the field our modern platform for API-based communication with our insurance partners and the integration of data into the Ecclesia systems systematic modernization and/or detachment of the application landscape in responsibility of the team In addition, in 2026, the team takes over the group-wide technical coordination and technical integration with our partner Thinksurance both in development and in operation. This is the responsibility of cross-departmental cooperation with departments and IT. Your tasks as a future team leader: You understand the language of our management and translate the needs of the departments and market developments together with the Product Owner into strategic roadmaps You control team tasks in coordination with the team and the CIO segment You develop our team members and their roles and our work organization, especially against the background of new technological possibilities such as AI You ensure compliance with modern software engineering principles (e.g. Clean Architecture, API-first, Modularization, Testability) You promote a powerful engineering culture (DevOps, CI/CD, automation, code quality) in the team You understand how to work with IT partners at all levels on the part of the insurers and in the industry and with good arguments for the interests of Ecclesia customers You cloud our platforms and guide monitoring, observability and alerting, to control the operation with pragmatism You will strengthen a culture of cooperation, in which confidence, diversity and further development are of course Training and promotion of young people You take over cost planning, control and forecast for the responsibility area

Completed studies in IT or comparable IT qualification Joy of leadership with more than 5 years of experience in the disciplinary leadership of more than 5 people in teams with mixed responsibility for development, system integration, cloud services and standard software Experience in modernising complex application landscapes (business case, stakeholder management, project management, cloud, AI) Experience with cloud technologies (ideally Azure) Found experience in software development and/or software architecture, ideally in the Java environment or comparable backend technologies Experience in developing and modernising complex, distributed systems (e.g. microservices, API-based architectures) Positive attitude and experience in using AI in the software development process Strong communicative skills and experience in change management Analytical thinking and structured working Identification with our values: confidence, responsibility, professionalism, respect and customer orientation Joy in taking responsibility in a diverse, agile and innovation-oriented environment Remarkable: Experience with API Frameworks and Modern Document Management Solutions
