IT specialist for Unix/Linux (w/m/d)

With us, you are responsible for the 24x7 operation of our internal IT infrastructure services to ensure a smooth digital radio operation for our rescue personnel. Together we develop IT services, from network, storage, servers to databases, middleware and operating systems to workplace.

In our team, you will be able to manage independently important IT infrastructure services with high requirements for high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR). You have the free spaces for tasks in operational IT operation to implement them independently. You support the team in constantly developing the field. You bring fresh ideas and realize exciting IT projects, along with a technical project manager. You translate technical requirements into technical solutions and develop existing solutions. You participate in the creation or updating of our technical documentation, including system configurations and operating procedures.

Complete studies in computer science, information technology or a related area, as an alternative a completed training as a specialist in system integration or a comparable qualification Very good knowledge with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL): Installation, configuration and management of RHEL systems, including user accounts and file systems Experiences with Red Hat Satellite: Management and Automation of RHEL Systems, Patch Management and Software Updates Ideally experience with Ansible: Automation of IT tasks and processes, creation and management of Ansible Playbooks Knowledge of the implementation of operational and technical IT security policies (required BSI IT basic protection) Analytical thinking, proactive approach and commitment to continuous development and learning new technologies
