Tasks

Site Reliability Engineering operates all IONOS Cloud IaaS and PaaS Services. We are a team of high-class and experienced engineers to solve complex problems.

• Monitors the system performance (operating time, latency, error rates) and eliminates the 24/7 interference with the aim of solving 85% of the problems at hand.
• Planning and running seamless software/hardware implementations across multiple data centers.
• Perform regular disaster recovery exercises and improve runbooks, warnings and surveillance thresholds.
• research, evaluation and recommendation of solutions to improve reliability, availability, performance and safety.
• Automate repeating tasks to improve efficiency.
• Provide level 2 support and direct customer contact.

Qualifications

• mastery of Linux system administration with good troubleshooting skills.
• You have experience with virtualized environments, including Qemu/KVM, OpenStack, Proxmox and Kubernetes (K8s).
• You have experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack or Ansible as well as with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Loki and Grafana.
• Experience with code management is required, with knowledge of merge conflicts, feature-twin, merge-requests and continuous integration (CI/CD) being a plus.
• Preferred qualification: experience with Ceph and software-defined networks.
• English and German B2+

Nice to have:

• Experience with proven software technology processes, including code checks, build processes, bundling and testing.
• Confidence with the ITIL framework.
