Supplier: Chair of thermodynamics of mobile energy wall systems and Institute of Thermodynamics The Chair of Thermodynamics of Mobile Energy Wall Systems (TME) at RWTH Aachen under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Together with the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics (LTT), Stefan Pischinger is located in the Faculty of Machine Engineering within the Rhine-Westphalian Technical University. At the Chair of Thermodynamics of Mobile Energy Wall Systems (TME) and its Center for Mobile Propulsion (CMP), all research topics relating to mobile drive systems are processed. The internal combustion engine with synthetic fuels, the fuel cell and the battery-electric drive are in focus, always very closely connected to the further development of intelligent test methods and calibration. With our research and our innovative solutions, we design all forms of sustainable mobility. • Research and optimization of engine control functions for the operation of hydrogen engines

• Validation and calibration of functions in a virtual environment (hardware & model-in-the-loop)

• Experimental calibration of the developed functions on the engine test stand and prototype vehicle

• Participation in prototype assembly, commissioning and testing

• Cooperation with research partners and internal specialist departments

• Care and implementation of courses in German and English

• Complete university studies (master or comparable) of the mechanical engineering department with a focus on energy technology/vehicle technology

• Experience in functional development, engine control, thermodynamics and exhaust gas aftertreatment

• Knowledge of the following software advantageous (Matlab/Simulink, ETAS INCA, GT Suite, Uniplot)

• Good computer skills (especially MS-Office product family)

• German and English knowledge fluent in word and writing

• Ability to work independently and independently

• Creativity, flexibility, team orientation

The employment is in the employment relationship. The place shall be occupied at the next possible time and shall be limited to 1 year. A further employment of at least 2 years is envisaged. There is the option to extend the place to 4 years. The temporary employment is carried out within the framework of the time-limits of the science-time contract law. It is a full-time job.
