Vulcan Energy Resources is a German-Australian company with a clear mission: We produce climate-neutral lithium for the battery value chain in Europe – by combining deep geothermal energy and innovative lithium extraction in the Upper Rhinegraben. You run a team of 5-10 employees in the field of health, work, and environmental protection and quality. You develop and implement our comprehensive HSE strategy in line with our corporate goals. You ensure compliance with local, national and international regulations, in particular in the field of environmental and occupational safety and regulatory requirements in the field of quality assurance in production and construction sites. You are responsible for identifying risks, assessing risk sources and developing risk mitigation concepts. You work closely with employees, executives, authorities and stakeholders. You establish training and development programs on safety, quality and sustainable work. You develop KPIs, audits and monitoring systems to continuously improve HSEQ performance. You run HSE sponsor and steering meetings with the management team. You participate in internal and external bodies, trade associations and industry initiatives.

You have a degree, for example in safety engineering, chemistry, engineering or production management. You bring at least 10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in HSEQ management and 3+ years preferably in production or large-scale plant construction. You have well-founded knowledge of the legal requirements in the production context – ideally complemented by knowledge in German mining law. You have experience in building and continuously developing HSEQ management systems. You are powerful, resilient, solution-oriented and consistently bringing projects to the target. You communicate safely on all levels – in German and fluent English. You lead with clarity, attitude and empathy – also in matrix-organized structures. You have a real mindset for change, sustainability and responsible business.
