Senior Software Developer Java (m/w/d)

We modernise an established authority-specialised application: From a .NET monolith, all web functions migrate into a slim Java backend with Vaadin-UI and REST/OpenAPI interfaces. You will become the first fixed Java engineer in the so far .NET-pressed five-team and work directly with the management.

Architecture & Code – Planning, Implementation and Care of Java Services (Java 21+, Spring Boot) Migration – Functional porting from .NET, unbundling of the monolith, building clear REST APIs UI with Vaadin – design of new masks or deep incorporation in Vaadin, if still new Data access – Hibernate/JPA on MSSQL, transaction and performance tuning Automation First – you set up build, test and deployment automation yourself and keep it clean Quality – Unit, Integration and E2E tests, Clean Code, Code reviews Close vote – daily cooperation with .NET colleagues, later with future PO and QA roles

You bring a completed study of computer science or have a similar training You have profound knowledge of Java software development and can use it effectively ≥ 7 years Enterprise-Java, safe in Spring Boot (Data, JPA, Security) Practice in the surface framework Vaadin or pleasure to work you deep Very good knowledge of German (administrative communication), English sufficient for docu/mails routine with hibernate/JPA + MSSQL Embossed slope to automate everything – CI/CD pipelines build and wait yourself Own responsibility, plain-text communication and fun to build structures
