Church in Oldenburg e.V. is looking for a day stay for homeless people in the Wesermarsch district, Hafenstr. 14, 26954 Nordenham, a low-swelling institution for people in whom special living conditions are associated with social difficulties (§ 67 SGB XII) ab sofort

Social worker / Social education (w/m/d)

indefinite, part-time with a weekly working time of 27.75 hours. Upgrading the option to full-time (38,5 hours/Where) depends on cost-benefits.

Your area of responsibility:

• Individual advice and support as well as resource-oriented support of people in housinglessness or special social difficulties
• Assistance in the placement of housing, employment and medical assistance
• institutional contact management and participation in working groups
• Conducting and maintaining statistics and documentation
• Ensure structures that enable protection and withdrawal possibilities, communication and advice
• provision of domestic infrastructure to cover everyday needs
• provision, administration and accompaniment in transition apartments
• Design of leisure activities and projects
• Fundraising and acquisition of donations

Your profile:

• estimating handling and empathy for people in housing
• pronounced social competence, sense of responsibility and enforcement
• knowledge of deescalation and conflict resolution
• Cooperation and intensive cooperation with authorities, offices and network partners
• professional and familiar handling of documentation, evaluation, reporting
• EDV-Kenntisse (MS-Office)
• Class B driving licence and, if necessary, own car (against the cost of travel)
• Willingness to continue and further education
• Identification with the basic aims of the Protestant Church
