Your role As a software developer at Zeiss, you are part of a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to developing cutting-edge technologies. You lead the development and implementation of forward-looking software solutions that offer our customers exceptional value. The Zeiss MicroOptics unit focuses on the development, optimization and replication of applications based on micro-optical and holographic optical elements. Your tasks include: Development and implementation of robust and scalable software architectures for automation solutions using advanced .NET technologies such as ASP.NET and .NET Core. Leadership and coordination of project teams to promote excellence and deliver innovative solutions. Application of object-oriented programming and implementation of software design batteries. Conception and management of databases, including SQL databases and NoSQL solutions. Design of network structures taking account of cyber security and IT security. Implementation of code reviews to ensure code quality. Promoting the professional development of team members through mentoring and support. Close cooperation with other teams, partners and suppliers to identify and implement requirements. Implementation of agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban.

You have a university degree in computer science or a related technical field or have equivalent practical experience. Multiannual experience in software development, ideally in the industrial environment, with a focus on innovative solutions. Experience in cooperation with development teams and the willingness to take over professional leadership roles. knowledge of C# and the .NET Framework, including/or ASP.NET and .NET Core, as well as experience with modern development practices; Knowledge of C++ and Python is an advantage. Experience in handling databases such as SQL Server and Entity Framework. Good knowledge of the application of software development methods such as Agile and DevOps. Experience in the creation of software architectures for automation solutions, e.g. Beckhoff control systems. Understanding network structures and cyber security. Ability to think analytic and solve problems. Knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML and JavaScript are also advantageous.
