Number: MER00041Z4 External Affairs (EA) is responsible for representing the interests of the Group towards politics and external organisations. With offices in Berlin, Washington, Brussels and Beijing as well as a worldwide network of EA Representatives, it forms a global political framework for strategic and operational business interests. The internship is located in the field of Political Operations, which focuses on the national and international location and production/distribution topics as well as regulatory frameworks. These topics require political expertise on current global industrial policy issues, the analysis of policy conditions for localization strategies, the analysis of reputation issues and the fluctuation of corresponding projects on site. Your tasks in the team “Strategic Projects and Local Affairs” include: Analysis and assessment of reputational risks for the planned implementation of operational sales and marketing activities worldwide

Working in current projects and questions as well as taking over an independent project in cooperation with the team management

Monitoring and analysis of national and international (industrial) policy issues (ad-hoc and long-term), deriving needs for action, corresponding upstream research activities

Working in creating briefings for top management

Processing and processing of current policy topics for lectures and events

Cooperation in the preparation and implementation of delegation visits

Monitoring and analysis of strategic location transformation projects

Takeover of further administrative, organisational and conceptual tasks

Own creation of Community Outreach plans in cooperation with colleagues from all over the world

The activity can begin from September 2026.

Study of International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Law, Business Administration, International Management or a comparable degree course

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing, further language of advantage

Safe handling of MS Office

Self-working and reliability

Own initiative, team skills and stylistic appearance

Comprehensive interest in the political and economic interface as well as in political issues, knowledge of political systems nationally and internationally

The exact start time is determined jointly within the framework of the setting process. The duration of the internship is 6 months, but at least 5 months.
