Processing of tasks under the BMWE-funded LuFo project “Sonrisa” performing and evaluating computer tomographic measurements at the laboratory microcomputer tomography plants (XCT) of the department 8.5 Management and implementation of the Workflow Development for Zone-based XCT Analysis (Region-of-Interest-XCT) work package XCT simulations with BAM's own software aRTist and correlation of the simulation results with XCT measurements Development of a region-of-interest workflow for XCT Support for the laboratory microcomputer tomography systems of the department 8.5 Active participation in project meetings and detailed coordination with project partners Active participation in the BAM-Themenfeld Material Acquisition and processing of research projects Master's work, doctoral students and technical staff Cooperation with internal and external research groups and with industrial partners Detailed scientific documentation of the results by specialist articles, lectures at national and international conferences, publications and reports

Successfully completed academic studies in the field of physics, engineering, electrical engineering or cf. with completed doctorate Deep knowledge and experience in computer tomography Deep experience and knowledge in digital image processing and analysis Experience in the design and realization of experimental setup and instrumentation, in particular in situ computer tomography mastering one or more programming languages relevant to tasks (e.g. Python, Matlab, Labview, C++) Very good knowledge in English ( oral and written) Good knowledge of the materials sciences, in particular additively manufactured metals from the powder bed process (PBF-LB/M) and of the process are desirable.
