We are in search of a motivated, inquisitive, and results-oriented individual to contribute to our robotics activities within our newly formed AgTech department. ZEISS started a large strategic initiative to leverage our capabilities to bring labor automation solutions to high-end greenhouses, with an initial focus on robotics. we established a dedicated team to drive this effort with a start-up like mindset within ZEISS.
We offer Interaction with a dynamic team, at the interface between robotics, camera vision & machine learning
Gain hands-on experience in robotics with state-of-the-art prototypes tested under real-world conditions
Experience the confluence of science and business
Option for master thesis
Integrate and measured robotic prototypes in both simulation and real-world environments, ensuring seamless functionality and performance
Develop and implement strategies for robotic arm manipulation
Evaluate and upgrade the prototypes following test campaigns in greenhouses under conditions
Support overall R&D activities, discuss & challenge new ideas
You are enrolled in a Master's program in Robotics, Mechatronics or comparable subject and have excellent results
Ideally, you have prior experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS). You possess strong knowledge in C++ and/or Python
First experience with NVIDIA Isaac is a plus
Excellent organization, problem-solving, communication (English and/or German) and innovation skills
Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for new technologies as well as motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary team
