Processing of criminal investigation orders and the preparation of scientifically justified investigation reports as a basis for the evaluation of the tasks of crypto and software analysis Compilation of scientifically justified opinions and their representation in court Conception and implementation of research and development work (F&E) including further development and optimization of criminal technology methods in software reverse engineering (SRE), security and cryptoanalysis Representation of the interests of German criminal technology at national and international level Teaching and lecture activities

The willingness to design flexible working hours is assumed for the following reasons:

i.d. occasionally: up to 5x a year from 1 day to 1 week Germany and abroad

Handling significant/time critical/complex measures related to criminal case work

Due to the special requirements, this job requires an activity on site.

Graduate, master or similar in a STEM field (e.g. mathematics, computer science, IT security or comparable) with a focus on embedded/mobile security, reverse engineering or comparable readiness to submit a DNA sample (approximately “knowledge value”).

You have extensive knowledge in the field of mobile operating systems and possible vulnerabilities in code also on machine language levels. They have good knowledge of microprocessor architectures in the embedded/mobile field. They have an analytical approach with state-of-the-art tools, also with regard to future new ways of working together with artificial helpers (KI). They master the programming languages C, Python and Rust. They have good English in word and writing (level B2 [GER]). They are team- and communication-ready, characterized by readiness for performance and responsibility. They have a very good oral and written expression, have good cognitive and organizational skills, are resilient and independent and flexible in the task.
