To further expand our team, we are looking for a IT Systems Engineer (m/w/d) Automation & Lifecycle Management in Leipzig. In this role, you enter IT systems over their entire life cycle, from planning to implementation to operation and optimization. Your new task:

• Planting and implementing modern IT infrastructures: You analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions for the entire IT cycle. You install, configure and run IT systems. You work with heterogeneous system landscapes and use modern management solutions. Migrations, rollouts and system integrations are carried out independently and document your work in operating manuals and configuration documents.
• Technical advice in the presales and project environment: You support our sales in the technical evaluation of customer requests and alerts. You bring your know-how into offer creation and effort estimation and present solutions convincingly in workshops, presentations and reviews. You will advise our customers on topics such as software packaging, patch management and automation solutions.
• Operation and support of IT systems: Ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructures, perform maintenance work, updates and patches, and perform error analysis and troubleshooting in 2nd and 3rd level support. You continuously monitor systems and optimize their performance, especially in VDI environments, as well as in managing basic images, user profiles and security policies.
• Sic production of quality and compliance: You implement security policies and measures and support compliance. You actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and standards, for example by integrating PKI infrastructures, network components, or by using container-based technologies to deliver scalable applications.
• Customer support and communication: You enter our customers technically in the daily business and in projects. You work closely with Service Desk, Service Account Management and Sales. You train users as well as IT managers with the customer and support the introduction and use of ITSM platforms for the structured management of IT assets, contracts and services.

You bring that with:

• Completed technical training or completed studies in the field of computer science or in a comparable course of study.
• First professional experience in planning, implementation and support of client and server infrastructure and endpoint management systems over the entire life cycle.
• Practical knowledge in Client and Server Management (Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, iOS) as well as in the use of management solutions such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Matrix42 Empirum, Altiris or WorkspaceONE.
• Experience in Software Packing and Distribution and Patch Management.
• knowledge of the Automatization of IT processes with Ansible, Terraform or VMware Aria Automation as well as safe handling of PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• experience in the construction, operation and optimization of VDI environments, including the management of basic images, user profiles and security policies.
• Confidence with IT service and asset management platforms such as Matrix42 Service Management or Altiris Asset Management for structured management of IT assets, contracts and services.
• Solid knowledge of network and infrastructure bases and experience with virtualization technologies.
• Desirable, but no need is knowledge in handling container-based platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Motivation and commitment to further advance new topics in the field of IT-Lifecycle.
• High Communication and team skills, analytical thinking and a knowledge and independent working.

• German language skills (at least C1) and fluent English skills.
