As a transmission system operator, we secure the power supply for around eleven million people in Baden-Württemberg. We create the infrastructure for the energy transition by maintaining, optimizing and expanding the high-voltage network according to needs. With our network, we not only make the country an innovative power turntable in the heart of Europe, but also make the energy system of the future significant. The task of system operation is the safe, environmentally friendly and efficient operation of the transmission network and the control zone of TransnetBW as part of the European network. The System Management department is responsible for the operational network and system management and thus for the safety of power supply in Baden-Württemberg. In addition to operational operations, we develop the rules, concepts and solutions for the network and system management of the future and thus make a central contribution to the success of the energy transition. An essential component here is the further development of the operating concepts and IT systems for real-time control of current and future power plants, including new equipment such as battery storage, FACTS or HGÜ systems.

Our own cloud-native platform MSHIP will serve as the basis for real-time control and other operationally critical applications.
