Together with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and Network Engineers, you plan and operate our most modern defense platforms. These are the backbone for protecting our hosting products and infrastructures – from classic DDoS dating to modern web application firewalls (WAF) and zero-trust strategies to our content delivery network (CDN). Infrastructure Administration and Troubleshooting of highly available, complex infrastructures – including participation in shared readiness (on-call rotation). Platform optimization: further development and optimization of distributed DDoS defense platforms as well as associated analysis and visualization mechanisms. Threat & Trend Analysis: Monitoring of systems, analysis of security attacks and active tracking of current industry and security trends. Tech-Evaluation & Innovation: Assessment of new technologies and products, development and implementation of new features for international setups. DevOps & Lifecycle: Supporting our corporate goals through efficient operating architecture, active lifecycle management and lean processes in an agile DevOps environment. CI/CD Automation: Conception, development and development of CI/CD pipelines and supporting technical processes Qualifications Foundation: Complete study of computer science or comparable qualifications Vocational training. Linux & Security Passion: Multiannual experience in the administration of complex distributed Linux systems as well as a strong interest in cybersecurity and sound network knowledge. Reverse Proxy & WAF: Detectable experience in the configuration and operation of Nginx as reverse proxy or web application firewall. Routing Expertise: Hands-on experience in implementing BGP, Flowspec and Anycast routing on Linux systems and network routers. Automation Mindset: passion for automation with tools such as Ansible, Puppet and Python to consistently eliminate manual, repetitive tasks. Analytical sharpness: Strong analytical skills for evaluating DDoS attacks, implementing effective countermeasures and continuous further development of our defense platforms. Tech-Stack (Bonus): First experiences with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ClickHouse or the ELK-Stack are a plus. Open Source Spirit: You share our enthusiasm for open source technologies, especially Linux. Languages: English knowledge in word and writing (German knowledge is a plus).
