At 01.11.2026 we are looking for you as a machine operator: in heavy duty transport (w/m/d) and form you at DB Bahnbau Group GmbH at Königsborn (Biederitz). Later, you will be on the road to changing construction sites throughout Germany (assembly).

As a machine operator:in heavy-duty transport (w/m/d), you transport construction machines and freight cars to the respective site of use. This is what you expect during your retraining:

• Retraining takes place in full-time (39h / week) and consists of theoretical and practical classes
• A training period of about 12 months awaits you
• With successful completion, you will acquire the European driving licence

After your retraining, you take the following activities:

• As a machine operator: in heavy-duty transport you transport construction machines and freight cars to the respective site of use
• The technical preparation, the recognition and elimination of minor disorders are also your tasks
• You rarely have a routine, because you serve different machine series on different routes and get an insight into a part of our large rail network

Your profile:

• You have a completed recognised vocational training from the industrial and technical field, for example as a construction equipment manager:in, Gleisbauer:in, Mechatronic:in, Kfz-Mechaniker:in
• Shift and change service, also on Sundays and holidays, don't bother you and be on the road in Germany (Montage)
• Understanding technical relationships and the willingness to further education are of course for you
• You have a driving licence class B and have fluent knowledge of the German language in word and writing
• Minimum age 20 years and you are willing to prove your medical and psychological suitability for the service (the suitability is tested by an occupational physician in the course of the recruitment)
