Bar & service staff (m/f/d)

As a bar and service employee, you are part of our R&B team at Zeppelin. You work where our guests are currently experiencing host quality: in the Pinus restaurant, on the terrace, in the bar, at receptions, events and in the banquet. Your special focus is in the bar and beverage area. If the bar is open or is used for events, receptions, lounge guests, aperitifs, bad weather or special situations, you are a central contact person there. You prepare drinks, treat guests attentively and make sure that the bar area is clean, complete, quiet and welcoming. Since the bar in Zeppelin is not a classic public bar for external guests, but an internal hosting place for home guests, events and special moments, you work closely with the Pinus daytime business. In good weather, a lot of things move outside – to the terrace, to the garden and to the restaurant. You will then be supported in the restaurant and terrace service, in the beverage service, in the blanketing, cleaning and in the event of an attentive procedure at the guest. For events, banquets, receptions or catering, you help in preparation, construction, service and refurbishment. You make sure that drinks, glasses, stations, mise en place and processes are right and guests feel well accompanied from the first moment. In hotels, banquet service typically includes pre- and post-processing, service during the event, support to bar or warehouse and a smooth running in the team. In perspective, you can also develop the bar area: with clear processes, a suitable range of drinks, small foods and an atmosphere that suits Zeppelin Lakes – high-quality, quiet, attentive and inconvenient. You work closely with service, kitchen, banquet and reception, recognize where support is needed, and flexibly bring you in. It is not crucial whether you are standing at the bar, on the terrace or in the event area – that bar, restaurant, terrace and banquet work as a common gastronomic area.

Ideally you have experience at the bar, restaurant service, banquet or hotel shop. An education in gastronomy or hotel industry is welcome, but not absolutely necessary if you bring practical experience, host feeling and genuine interest in good service. You have the pleasure of drinks, service and dealing with guests. You work attentive, clean and reliable, keep an overview even in living situations and have a good feeling for preparation, order, quality and atmosphere. It's important to us that you like bar work, but don't think exclusively as a classic bar position. Depending on the season, weather and day-to-day business, you should also be in the Pinus restaurant, on the terrace, at events or in the banquet. You are friendly, team-oriented and responsible. You see work before it remains, communicate clearly and support where host quality is needed. Good knowledge of German is important and English is helpful. Experience with cash systems, beverage service, goods control, event sequences or small menus is a plus. Above all, if you understand the bar as part of a larger gastronomic whole and want to develop this area in Zeppelin with personality, tranquility and attention.

Reliable basics In principle, we award permanent employment contracts. Exceptions are training contracts and explicit seasonal contracts. Your working hours are accurately recorded – through transparent working time accounts and a simple schedule app. Tariff holiday and Christmas money are of course. Tax-free allowances for night, Sunday and holiday work are paid in advance – as far as your working time is allowed. Our remuneration is clearly above tariff. You will receive two additional days per year, on top to the tariff scheme. For proven voluntary commitment there is another holiday day. With special family loads, we look individually how we can support with additional holiday or flexibility. Time, Food and Extras You eat and drink almost free of charge – fresh food, fair traded organic coffee, tea, juices and small items from our kitchen. We bear the costs; only the statutory flat-rate tax on the monetary advantage is to be taxed by you. When you first hire with us, you will receive a premium of gross 1000 euros (500 euros after six months, 500 euros after one year of service). If you return to us after a break, we will count on your previous service to the new activity. For your family, relatives and close friends there are generous conditions when You eat or stay with us. We like to celebrate with each other – summer festival and Christmas celebration are part of it. Premiums for special business jubilees are set with us. You can temporarily stay in Hotel Maier up to the accommodation, depending on availability – at minimum costs. We support you financially in the care of infants. The exact configuration is part of your individual contract configuration. Modern means of communication and back office workstations are available in all departments.
