Project Engineer Ship Design (m/f/d)

Total responsibility for the ship design process as a general designer. Technical management and coordination in the preparation of the General Plan. Control and integration of the 3‐D overall modeling. Requirements management including tracking and validation. Implementation and assessment of stability and weight calculations. Creation and coordination of draft calculations and technical documentation. Planning, preparation and implementation of port and sea trials (HAT/SAT) and ensuring compliance with requirements of classification societies and flag states.

Studies in shipbuilding, marine engineering or a comparable subject. Knowledge of ship design (layout, stability, weight, hydrodynamics) and multiannual experience in ship development. Practice with stability software such as NAPA and CAD/3‐D environments such as AutoCAD, Rhinoceros or Siemens NX. Experience in request management, such as DOORS NG and safe handling of office and project tools such as MS Excel, Jira or Confluence. Safe knowledge of relevant regulations (IMO) and experience in cooperation with classification societies. Analytical strength: rapid detection of complex technical relationships, structured design creation and documented quality of results. Self-employed, proactive working methods: independent planning, schedule, early risk detection and coordination of interdisciplinary project teams.
