Managing Plant Manager – Chemical Process Industry (m/f/d)

As Managing Director (m/w/d), you are responsible for the operational, economic and strategic management of the plant with around 200 employees including budget, earnings and investment responsibility. You ensure a stable, secure and efficient 24/7/365 production operation while complying with all legal, collective and intra-group requirements. In addition to ensuring efficiency, quality and compliance, you actively shape the strategic development of the site in the international group. You are pushing forward measures to increase utilisation, productivity and profitability, particularly in the international production network. In your role, you will lead an experienced management team with a direct line of reports and promote constructive, value-adding cooperation at all levels. You represent the location vis-à-vis the international group management, the works council and other internal and external stakeholders.

In order to take over this function, you have a successfully completed study in the field of chemistry, chemical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering or a comparable qualification with well-founded experience in the chemical and process industries. Ideally, you have basic knowledge and first practical experience in Saccharid chemistry. These are desirable, but no prerequisite. You bring multi-annual leadership experience in a leading function, for example as a factory manager (m/w/d), operating manager (m/w/d) or in a comparable position with earnings and budget responsibility. For this purpose, you will score points with detectable expertise in the control of capital-intensive production processes in 24/7 layer operation as well as in the application of lean management methods and continuous improvement processes. You are characterized by high empathy paired with positive leadership, very good communication skills, diplomatic skills and enforcement strength, and You understand that experienced staff will also be constructively involved in change processes. Due to the internationality of our client, you communicate in English with certainty of negotiation - further language skills are of advantage, but no need.
