As part of the port authority, the water authority takes over high-level tasks in the port area within the HPA. The team of the Electricity Police is responsible, among other things, for maritime police tasks, safeguarding traffic routes and safety and compliance with all rules on environmental protection in the Port of Hamburg.

Our heart beats for the Port of Hamburg, which connects us! You take over the disciplinary and professional leadership of the three-headed team of the Electric Police. Your tasks include ensuring that shipping routes are safe and accessible, e.g. through appropriate concrete. In addition, you will monitor plants and structures in, on and above the water and carry out inspections and state controls. In special locations, such as, for example, in the case of accidents or in the case of obstacle and wreck protections, you take over the technical management and coordinate the operations. As part of the damage management, you will take damages, take preventive measures and deal with particularly difficult cases. In your role as a power police, you arrange measures to prevent danger and participate in order-disorder and administrative court proceedings. You will also take over the power police and the water supervision within the water authority's reputation.

For this position, you are able to exercise the higher technical administrative service or fulfil the conditions for taking over to the civil service. You bring a completed study of ship technology/nautics or of the environment or Civil engineering. Through your long-term professional experience, you have deeper knowledge in the field of ship technology and nausea as well as in the construction of water. For your working day, you have good knowledge of the various laws such as administrative law (VwVG, police law), environmental and water law. The port should not be a new country for you. Ideally, you even know him as well as your west pocket. In addition, you will experience the leadership of teams and it will help you to motivate and develop your employees. You are able to make quick and well-founded decisions, you act as a matter of situation and can convince with good arguments.
