The Fraunhofer Society is one of the world's leading organisations for application-oriented research. 75 institutes develop groundbreaking technologies for our economy and society – more precisely: 32 000 people from technology, science, administration and IT. You know, who comes to Fraunhofer wants and can change something. For yourself, for us and the markets of today and tomorrow. We, the Fraunhofer Institute for Research Production Battery Cell FFB, have made it our task to become the center of the development of a modern and scalable battery cell production for Germany and Europe. We work every day to create an infrastructure that enables companies and research institutions to test, implement and optimize the production of new batteries close to the standard. This is how we design the battery cell production of tomorrow. As a civil engineer*in (m/w/d), you design the construction of a state-of-the-art battery cell factory at the interface between building, interior design and production technology. Your focus is on the technical integration of demanding clean and dry-space environments as well as on the quality, time and cost-proof implementation of complex construction projects in an industrial context. .

You are responsible for the technical planning and implementation of central components of the interior construction (office bars including laboratories and workshops) taking into account the specific requirements of clean and dry-space environments in battery cell production. You control planning and construction processes in the performance phases 6-9 according to HOAI and ensure compliance with deadline, cost and quality objectives in a technologically demanding industrial project. You take a central interface function between the client side, architects, specialist planners and exporting companies and coordinate interdisciplinary requirements from construction, infrastructure and production technology. You use Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the structured coordination and quality assurance of planning and construction processes and develop digital working methods in the project. You represent the user interests in the construction process and make sure that structural solutions are functional, sustainable and optimally adapted to the requirements of later use – in particular in terms of structural design and structural statistics.

Completed academic studies (master or diploma) in civil engineering or in a comparable technical field of engineering. Multiannual relevant experience in the planning and realization of complex construction projects, ideally in the environment of industrial, laboratory or research buildings. Funded competence in the application of BIM methods for coordinating interdisciplinary planning and construction processes. Very good knowledge of relevant regulations and project management instruments (in particular HOAI, VOB, DIN) as well as experience in appointment, cost and quality management. Impressed analytical and communicative strength, safe occurrence to project partners as well as excellent knowledge of German and English.
