The UN Refugee Assistance is the national partner of the United Nations Refugee Relief Agency (UNHCR). Since 1980, we have been promoting projects for refugees in Germany, contributing to the formation of consciousness in our society through information work on escape and mobilising people in Germany to financially support the UNHCR's worldwide life-saving work. Our goal is to protect the lives of refugees and to contribute to a decent life of refugees. In 2025, the UN refugee aid was able to achieve around 50 million euros of total revenue with its work. The team includes about 75 dedicated employees who are passionate about creating sustainable solutions for refugees – worldwide and in Germany. The “Communication & Cooperations” department of the UN Refugee Aid is divided into the areas of public relations, online communication & corporate identity and corporate cooperation and is responsible for the overall communicative appearance of the UN refugee aid. It contributes to awareness-raising by providing targeted public relations with information about escape causes and their consequences, and focuses on cooperation with companies and foundations. The department is working intensively with the UNHCR and the representatives of the funded projects in all areas of press and public relations. The core areas of work are: project funding, website, social media, video content, publications, classic PR, corporate design, corporate and foundation cooperation as well as events.

Role

What you will do We are looking for you as an expert in business cooperation (focus New Business) (m/w/d) for the new acquisition and support of business partners in the segment 100,000 € annual donation amount. The aim is to sustainably increase donation revenues in this area through strategic consulting, relationship management and targeted addressing of top-level companies.

Tasks

New acquisition and support of partner companies and business donors in the top-level segment with the aim of building long-term bonds Development and implementation of individual acquisition strategies; incl. preparation of first contacts, personal discussions, presentations and follow-ups in close consultation with the team management Strategic management of your own acquisition pipeline (e.g. lead tracking, forecasting, success analysis) based on predefined KPIs Support and binding of existing partnerships Ensuring compliance with due diligence procedures and creating project proposals and reports in close and regular consultation with the international UNHCR colleagues Representation of UN Refugee Assistance in Companies and Business Foundations Conception and further development of individual offers for companies Advising partner companies and developing suitable materials for their marketing and/or PR work in close coordination of colleagues in the Communication & Cooperation Division Maintaining the CRM system such as setting up campaigns, documentation of donor journeys and analysis of fundraising activities Takeover of an interface function to the Fundraising department, in particular to the Middle Donor area (focus company) Implementation of Prospect research, to develop new donor potentials in the CRM system Monitoring & Result Control of Measures and Reporting of KPIs to Team Management Implementation of market and competition analyses in the field of corporate cooperation and corporate foundation in cooperation with the team management Identification of trends and developments in business cooperation; incl. derivation of recommendations for action

Complete studies in a field relevant to the job, e.g. in the fields of business management, marketing, political sciences or a comparable qualification Finded professional experience in key account management, sales or philanthropy or Business cooperation in an NGO Embossed sales talent and experience in strategic acquisitions as well as the joy of actively building new contacts, building relationships and achieving financial statements in the form of partnerships and donations Excellent communication and negotiation skills, high empathy and safe, authentic appearance at decision-makers' level Strategic and analytical thinking as well as the ability to convey complex facts clearly and convincingly Good general education, safe representative appearance and high persuasion High level of coordination and organisational strength; also with high work load Solution-oriented and innovative way of working to further develop offers and strategies in support of top-level companies Good knowledge of CRM systems and databases (e.g. Salesforce) as well as secure computer application knowledge and readiness to integrate into new programs readiness to carry out business, even in the short term and over several days a month Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Willingness to follow latest developments in business cooperation, to expand and apply their own knowledge accordingly Willingness to work in the emergency case also at short notice and outside regular working hours Reliability, confidentiality and loyalty Identification with the objectives and values of UN refugee assistance and UNHCR
