Consultant for Financial Statements, Annual Financial Statements, Statement of Appropriations

In this highly demanding position, you take on central tasks in external accounting and financial statements of the MPG e. V. You support the creation and quality assurance of the overall financial statements according to HGB, of forum templates and other financial and accounting material behaviour and advise the Max Planck Institutes on questions of accounting. Your tasks in detail: Participation in the preparation of the annual financial statements/total financial statements on all Max Planck institutions and other institutions according to commercial, regulatory and application requirements Technical advice and ongoing support of the Max Planck Institutes on external accounting and accounting issues Cooperation in projects of accounting, in particular in the integration of new Max Planck institutes Conception and implementation of professional training and workshops for employees of the Max Planck Institutes Participation in the organisation and participation in meetings within the accounting system, presentations and technical contributions Participation in the development and digitization of external accounting and the optimization of processes, in particular in the context of the SAP‐S/4HANA transformation

completed university studies of business, economics or a comparable subject, ideally focusing on accounting, finance or audit; as an alternative, a comparable additional qualification, e.g. as an accounting book holder*in (IHK) Knowledge of commercial accounting and security in the assessment of accounting and accounting issues Multiannual relevant professional experience in external accounting and in the preparation of annual accounts according to HGB, ideally with experience in an audit society Secure handling of SAP and Microsoft Office; ideally knowledge of SAP S/4HANA A structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working; high affinity for AI and modern technologies High communication capability, safe occurrence and the ability to convey complex technical issues to address Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing
